- PAN, GSTIN, TAN, and other tax identification details
- Bank statements, invoices, purchase and sales records, salary registers, and other financial documents
- Employee details (name, PAN, Aadhaar number, bank account) required for payroll and TDS processing
- Login credentials or OTPs shared voluntarily for filing purposes

- Browser type, device type, IP address, and pages visited on our website (byalance.com)
- Cookies and session data for website analytics (no advertising cookies are used)
2.3 Information from Third Parties
Data from government portals such as GST Portal, Income Tax Portal, and TRACES, accessed on your behalf during service delivery
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to:
- Deliver accounting, GST, TDS, payroll, and ITR services you have engaged us for
- Communicate with you via WhatsApp, email, or phone regarding your compliance and deliverables

- Generate financial reports, salary slips, and compliance filings on your behalf
- Respond to government notices or queries related to your filings

- Government portals — GST Portal, Income Tax Portal, TRACES, MCA, EPFO/ESIC — as required to complete your filings

5. Data Security
We take the security of your financial data seriously. Our measures include:
- All documents shared with us are stored on password-protected, encrypted cloud storage
- Access to client files is restricted to assigned team members only
- Communications involving sensitive data are conducted over secure email or WhatsApp Business
- We do not store login credentials for government portals beyond the immediate filing session
- A signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is in place with every client before data is exchanged

6. Data Retention
We retain your financial and compliance data for a minimum of 8 years from the end of the relevant financial year, in line with the retention requirements under the Income Tax Act and GST Act. After this period, data is permanently deleted or anonymised.
You may request deletion of your data earlier, subject to our statutory obligations to retain certain records.
