ESI (Employees' State Insurance) is a social security scheme for employees earning up to ₹21,000/month. It is mandatory for businesses with 10 or more employees (20 in some states). Professional Tax (PT) is a state-level tax on salaried employees and self-employed individuals. It is applicable in Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and several other states. In Karnataka, the employer deducts PT from employee salaries and remits it to the state government monthly. Byalance handles PT registration, monthly deduction, and return filing for all applicable states.

Full and Final Settlement is the process of computing and paying all amounts owed to an employee on their last working day — including pending salary, earned leave encashment, gratuity (if applicable), reimbursements, and deduction of any advances. Byalance prepares the F&F computation statement, ensures tax is correctly deducted on the terminal payout, and issues the relieving documents.
